Sculptures by this Artist:
Amos Supuni is a sculptor who is grateful he found art, as it has been a means to escape a life of poverty. He became involved with a Catholic youth group in Tafara, a high-density housing project outside of Harare, Zimbabwe. It was there that he learned sculpture from artists such as Tapfuma Gutsa.
Supuni has studied several other art forms at the Silvera House and has participated in the artist-in-residence program in Chapungu Sculpture Park.
Supuni is very active in the community and wants to give back to young artists. He encourages young artists to pursue art in lieu of crime and poverty. His work is complex and comical, and he is highly respected for his work and philanthropic endeavors.
