Eddie Masaya is a well travelled sculptor from Zimbabwe whose work is entirely his own. Eddie uses spiritual forms and a variety of stones to create evocative and rich sculptures which deal with Shona life and culture. While many younger sculptors abandon the spiritual notions of Shona culture Eddie is not afraid to embrace them and to make strong social comments. His smooth manner and charming smile are a welcome joy in a turbulent Zimbabwe. Eddie works with the famed Dominic benhura at Dominics Studio in Harare.
