Nesbert Mukomberanwa was born in 1969 in Masvingo, Zimbabwe. He began to sculpt in 1987 under his uncle, Nicholas Mukomberanwa, arguably the greatest Zimbabwean sculptor ever. Nesbert works in Chitungwiza, a high density suburb of Harare which is the home of many artists. Nesbert has developed his own distinctive style yet he has adopted the Mukomberanwa style of perfection........each piece is meticulously worked and finished, a technique seen in most of the work of the Mukomberanwa family. Nesbert exhibited in Memphis, Tn in April/May 2003.
