Robert Nyariri is one of the youngest of the Shona sculptors. Born in 1980 in the central province of Zimbabwe, Nyariri was destined to follow in the footsteps of his older brother Tutani Nyariri. He began to assist Tutani in 1996 in Mutorashanga. He was soon selling to the same collectors that bought from his brother.

Nyariri is now sculpting for galleries all over Zimbabwe and is considered an important 'emerging' artist. His work can be seen in major exhibitions throughout Zimbabwe.
